Is Your Bladder Weak?

It’s OK. I’ll admit it…I’ve peed my pants before. Did I do it on purpose? Of course not. Who pees their pants on purpose? And please, if you are into that and get off on peeing your pants for some sort of weird and twisted pleasure…just move on. This blog post will be of no help or interest to you!

But for those of you that have this problem, whether it is a new problem since having kids, or an older problem that you have dealt with by using a variety of products out there on the market, this post is for you! Tena, formally Serenity, teamed up with exercise expert Kari Bo to launch a revolutionary (and free!!!) pelvic health program called, Core Wellness. This revolutionary program involves the PELVICORE technique which is a quick and easy 20 minute routine that has been found to CURE bladder weakness in over 60% of women who have tried it! Not only has it been proven to cure bladder weakness, but it has also been shown to tone the tummy and improve posture. And one thing my mother has always told me, if you stand up straight and don’t slouch, you look thinner…so there’s another plus!

Watch this quick video about Core Wellness:

I leave you with some great tips from Tena:

Don’t Sweat It: More than 70% of mild bladder incontinence can be improved through simple muscle exercises that contract and relax the pelvic floor muscles. These exercises require minimal effort and can be done anywhere- in the office, on the subway or while at home watching TV – no gym clothes required.

Maintain a Normal Weight: Carrying excess weight increases the likelihood of weak pelvic floor muscles and can also worsen bladder weakness.

Let Someone Else Do the Heavy Lifting: Lifting heavy objects incorrectly can weaken your pelvic floor. Lift heavy objects safely by bending your knees and using your leg muscles.

The Pelvic Health Diet: Certain foods, such a tomato based and spicy foods, can irritate the bladder. Caffeine and alcoholic beverages also contribute to leakage, so stick to bladder-friendly liquids such as water, apple juice, grape juice and cranberry juice.

Don’t Let Bladder Weakness Hold You Back: Bladder weakness affects one out of four women. You are not alone in this condition and it doesn’t have to control your life. Pelvic floor exercises can greatly improve your pelvic health, but if you’re still hesitant to stray too far from a bathroom, consider a discreet liner or pad to help give you confidence through the day. Vacuum Cleaner Review

Bissell Lift Off Revolution Pet Vacuum

I was not too thrilled to find out that my vacuum broke. When you’re on a budget, the last thing you want to spend money on is something that you need, but don’t necessarily enjoy doing. But with two kids and a dog, vacuuming is not something I can skip doing. Now I would love to get a Dyson. My mil has the Dyson Animal and she loves it. However, spending that kind of money on a vacuum, right now, is just not in the cards. So I headed to Target. I knew nothing about the different vacuum brands. The only thing I did know was that I did not want a Eureka. That was the one I recently had that only lasted just over a year (such a piece of shit).

I spent almost 30 minutes or longer looking at each and every vacuum and going over what I liked and disliked about each one. Every time I thought I found one I liked, I kept going back to this Bissell. I had it narrowed down between this Bissell and a Hoover. While the Hoover was a little less, I just couldn’t stop looking at this particular vacuum. Why? For one simple reason…This vacuum was both an upright AND a canister. I can detach the canister and carry it for easy cleaning of those hard to reach areas and for doing the stairs. Not only that, but Target had the vacuum on sale for $169.99 PLUS you get a $20.00 Target gift card!

Now I’ve used this vacuum twice since getting it (got it on Saturday) and I love it! You can feel how well it suctions and it really cleans the carpet well! It was almost gross how full the dirt compartment was after the first vacuuming. And I vacuum every day!

I would definitely recommend this vacuum to anyone and everyone. Definitely shop around and see which store has it for the cheapest price or who may be offering some other incentive like the store gift card.

I am the PROUD owner of…

Just about the coolest boots in the world! Well to me anyway. Yesterday we spent a LOOOOOOONG family day at the mall. I got my haircut while Dan and the kids walked around waiting for me, anxiously awaiting a trip to see Santa.

After my haircut, we decided to get lunch at Max & Erma’s. We sit down and Dan pulls out…my very own pair of Croc boots!!!! I was so surprised! He bought me a GPS thing for my car and that was my Christmas present. But he knew how much I liked the Croc boots and decided to get me a pair. My toes love him! I’m not quite sure if I am supposed to wear socks with them or not. I did yesterday, but would love to be barefoot in them…though they have that liner in it and I don’t want stinky boots…oh well it doesn’t matter! Socks, no socks…I’m just so happy to be able to wear Crocs 365 days a year now!!!

Aren’t they cute??? They are oh so comfortable and come in a lot of great colors (though I don’t care for the black so much…which is the color I originally wanted). It just looks weird to me (no offense to anyone who bought black). Here is the best part…Dan got me a little camel thing to put on each boot up at the top! I collect camels. I can probably guarantee that NO ONE has boots like mine with the camel! (most people that bought these boots, bought this pretty flower to put on it).

Critter Conga Toy Review

This is the greatest toy EVER! Thanks to Team Mom, I was sent this great NEW toy by the Parents line. My kids could barely sit still while I got the toy unwrapped. Here is a video I took of them rocking out:

Like I said, Critter Conga is the new toy by Parents. Not only can you purchase it at the Parents website, but also at Costco. So here are the cool things you get in your Critter Conga drum:

  • Leopard Conga Drum
  • Tambourine lid that my son is convinced came from Santa because it sounds like jingle bells.
  • Antelope Slide whistle
  • Bird whistle
  • Elephant whistle
  • Snake drumsticks
  • Giraffe maracas
  • Crocodile cabasa and clacker
  • A little drum on a stick with two beads attached to a string that when you spin it in your hand, the beads hit the drum (my daughter is playing with it in the video)…sorry I don’t know the real name for it HAHA!

Yes, this is a loud toy but…not only do kids have a blast playing it, they wear themselves out dancing around, and they are improving their motor skills as well! Here is a really cool thing about this toy…lets say you have a drum already but would like to purchase the maracas and the antelope slide whistle…all you have to do is go to Target. Each of the items that come in the Critter Conga is sold individually under the name Safari Song!

The only thing I may not like about this toy is the base of the drum…I know my kids and they get pretty rambunctious when they play. I could see one of them falling on it and I would be afraid it could break.

This is definitely a toy you should be putting on your holiday gift list! I am willing to bet they will love it!

The Secret Mountain Books and Music Review

I was so so so excited to get this package in the mail. From the moment my son was born, his love for both books and music was very obvious. I started to incorporate a lullaby CD into is bedtime routine. He is 4 years old now and he STILL goes to sleep with that CD. He absolutely loves the music. Well…as soon as I opened this package I received, he fell in love with a slew of new music.

In my package, I had three books from The Secret Mountain for children that each had their own CD of music that complemented the book beautifully. Not only did the CD complement the book, it also had the lyrics in the back of each book so you could sing along! A big plus in this house!

The books we received are Dream Songs Night Songs from Belgium to Brazil, Down at the Sea Hotel, and A Duck in New York City (our favorite!!). Each book has simple, yet very beautiful illustrations. If you ordered just one book from that site, I highly recommend A Duck in New York City. My son had me read it twice, he liked it so much.

From The Secret Mountain website:

The Secret Mountain is dedicated to the creation of children’s books, videos and audio recordings of the highest quality. Our main focus is to produce and publish stories and music that encompass the talents of songwriters, storytellers, singers, illustrators and animation artists alike.

If you like both books and music, these are the books for you. I think most of us are tired of reading the same things over and over again! Add something new to the bookshelf!
