Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Unsalted Butter softened
  • 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Allspice
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Cloves
  • 1 TBSP Molasses
  • 2 1/4 Cup Flour
  • Powdered Sugar for Rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or silicone mat.

  3. Put some powdered sugar into a small bowl and set aside.

  4. Using an electric mixer, beat butter until fluffy. (About 20 seconds)

  5. Add the powdered sugar, vanilla, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, cloves, and molasses. Mix until the mixture is smooth.

  6. Slowly add flour and mix until the dough comes together. FYI, the cookie dough will look like a crumbly mess. It's OK! Continue mixing as this may/will take several minutes.

  7. Using a small cookie scoop, form a tablespoon of the dough and place on the prepared cookie sheets.

  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes (or until the bottoms are just slightly brown).

  9. Remove from the oven and cool for one minute on the baking sheet.

  10. Once you can touch the cookies, but they are still warm, roll the warm cookies in the small bowl of powdered sugar until each cookie is well coated.

  11. Transfer cookies to the wire rack to cool.
