Interesting. Discovery Channel, home to so many shows many of us like to watch is giving Sarah “Drill Baby Drill” Palin her own show to show us “her” Alaska. Here is a little run down of what Miss “Drill Baby Drill” Palin has accomplished for “her” Alaskan environment:
- She introduced a $150 bounty for each slaughtered wolf’s forelimb in Alaska’s aerial wolf hunting program.
- She made a personal appeal to voters to oppose a ballot that would have stopped the Pebble Mine operation from dumping mining waste and cyanide into streams that flow into the Bristol Bay which is home to the largest sockeye salmon fishery in the world.
- When President Bush listed the polar bear on the endangered list, stating global warming was severely affecting their environment, Palin sued challenging the listing.
- “Drill Baby Drill” Palin earned her nickname when she called for opening the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and Cook Inlet to oil and gas drilling.
Now knowing what The Discovery Network stands for and how passionately they feel about the environment, why in the world would they give someone who so strongly believes the opposite of what they stand for?
I wonder if she’ll be showing us her wonderful view of Russia from her backyard too?
Sky says
LOL, you crack me up. I've emailed Discovery about their host choice. I know should she still host, I won't watch.
