With Father’s Day right around the corner, I’ve been tossing around in my head what would make the perfect gift this year. Those perfect and meaningful gifts are hard to come by. I find myself second guessing what I think would make a good gift. Personally, I like to give gifts that are handmade and personalized. But not everyone likes that.

When I was talking to a friend today she was going on and on and on about how her husband hasn’t bought her father in-laws Father’s Day gift yet and she’s “not going to do it because he’s not her father” and blah, blah, blah. I get what she’s saying…she’s right. He’s not her biological father…but he is part of her family and if her husband is working all day to provide for the family…allowing her to be a stay at home mom, then I don’t think it’s asking too much to pick up a gift for her father in-law. She adamantly disagreed when I said as much.
When it comes to my father in-law, my husband and I discuss Fathers Day gifts, but 99.9% of the time, it’s usually me who picks it up. I’m the one that’s home all day, so I should be the one to pick it up. But we have to discuss it first. My in-laws, as well as my own parents, are hard to buy for. They have everything and when they want something, they buy it.
What about you? Are your parents/in-laws difficult to buy for?

Mine are VERY hard to buy for.. I get what shes saying though! We talk about it now & he gives me ideas what he wants me to get them & then I buy it being that I'm home too. Same thing goes for bdays & anything else that we have to buy for 'his' family. It is mine too but there is no reason why he can't help decide what to buy them. 🙂
