And I got paid for it!
So let me back up. About two years ago a friend hooked me up with a research company that is in my city. Basically you get emails from them listing out the different opportunities they have and if you feel you qualify, you give them a call. Once you are the phone with them they ask you a bunch of questions to make sure you qualify…if you do, they then set up you up for a time to either come in and complete whatever survey they have for you to complete or they set up a time for them to come to your house.

A few months ago I got an email about health insurance. I met all of the qualifications in the email so I gave them a call. This particular opportunity paid $300…I couldn’t pass up the chance to make $300! I qualified for the survey and two weeks later a really nice man and woman came to my house to interview me. Basically, Blue Cross Blue Shield was doing a survey about how people felt about health insurance in general, what they thought need to change, etc. I answered all of their questions, gave some opinions and in less than 2 hours we were done…and I was $300 richer!
Fast forward to 2 weeks ago. I get a phone call from the research company telling me that the company that came out to interview me loved my answers and wanted to do a follow up with. This time they would be video taping to use the footage for a presentation to the board at Blue Cross Blue Shield. This time the opportunity paid $500! I was beside myself excited! They came yesterday and here is a picture of my acting debut:
My favorite question: “If you could tell your insurance company one thing that needs to be changed, what would it be and why?”
My answer: “If I could tell the insurance company one thing that definitely need to be changed would be how you get someone on the phone. The most frustrating thing is to have to hit a million different numbers on the phone menu until you can finally get a live person…but only let people who speak clear English talk with customers on the phone. There is nothing more frustrating than not being able to understand a person on the phone”.
If you were apart of this opportunity, what would you what to tell your insurance company to change?

I hate that the "billing cycle year" or whatver its callled and the regualr calendar year is different, it gets annoying trying to figure out when to make appoointments to not get billed twice for going to the doctors too soon!
