I want you to meet Alex:
Alex was diagnosed with Autism this past November. He is what is called an “Eloper”, which basically means he runs off with absolutely no thought to the danger that lies ahead. You can imagine how scary this is for his parents. So they did what any parent does when their child is diagnosed with something…they research their options on how to best help their child. For Alex, the best thing for him is an Autism Service Dog. These highly trained dogs from the Autism Service Dogs of America (ASDA) would not only help a child like Alex from running into on coming traffic, but they also help with anxiety and getting overstimulated in different public settings (like school).
Great news…Alex has been approved by the Autism Service Dogs of America for one of their trained dogs!!
Bad news…insurance doesn’t cover the cost of the dog or the training.
These service dogs, fully trained, cost $20,000. Alex’s family need to raise $13,500 (the ASDA will cover the difference). Please consider helping Alex. He cannot be matched with a dog until the money has been raised. Look at that beautiful face and click on his fundraising page and make a donation. Any donation, big or small, will help Alex tremendously. 100% of the donation goes to the Autism Service Dogs of America. Here is an example of where your money will be going:Your financial support can provide:
- $400 covers the cost of a puppy
- $500 feeds one dog for a year
- $700 pays for stud fees for a litter of pups
- $13,500 finances the cost of an ASDA service dog
- $10 buys a dog brush or toy
- $35 feeds one dog for one month
- $100 buys a graduating dog’s pack, leash and collar
- $350 subsidizes a dog’s annual healthcare
So please, please consider donating. Also, share this post with your friends and family. Help Alex get his service dog. Alex and his family thank you for your generosity!

I did not see a link to donate on behalf of Alex. Do you have that?
