Living with Rosacea is no fun. I have known several people that have this and I suspect I may have a very mild form of it, though I’ve never been diagnosed.
What is Rosacea?
Rosacea is a common inflammatory and vascular disorder affecting the face. Redness, visible blood vessels, bumps and pimples typically appear in the middle of the face (forehead, nose, cheeks) after age 30 in men and women. It is estimated to affect 16MM Americans.
Since Rosacea affects the face, you can imagine how embarrassing that is for people and often times, it can cause anxiety in social settings. I know I used to be very self-conscious about how red my face would always get. If you suspect that you have Rosacea, you should visit your dermatologist and get a proper diagnosis.
