We’ve tried all the different Keto ice creams on the market. Some are better than others, but one thing remains the same…they’re pretty expensive! Since we like ice cream, the kids decided to get their dad an ice cream machine for Father’s Day. It was the best gift decision ever! We’ve made several different types of Keto ice cream since Father’s Day, but this new flavor is, by far, the best. Anything banana and peanut butter flavored is a favorite of mine and my husbands. Knowing that, I decided to create a banana peanut butter chip Keto ice cream. It most definitely did not disappoint! While the orange cream flavor was fantastic, this one is absolutely amazing!

Why Banana Peanut Butter Chip?
Um…why not?! I discovered banana extract when I started following Maria Emmerich for Keto tips, tricks, and recipes. When I started making protein chocolate pudding, I was always on the look out for different flavorings to add. That’s when I discovered banana extract. The protein chocolate pudding is delicious, as is, but with the addition of the banana extract, it’s heavenly! My husband and I were out of town and I told him that I wanted to make banana ice cream when we got home. I kid you not, the rest of that trip, I thought non-stop about this ice cream and how much peanut butter a Lilly’s chocolate chips to add. As soon as we got home, I made this Keto friendly ice cream!
Banana Peanut Butter Chip Keto Ice Cream
Delicious recipe for homemade banana peanut butter chip Keto friendly ice cream!
Ingredients
- 5 large Egg Yolks
- 1/2 Cup Allulose
- 1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 Cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 tsp Banana Extract
- 2 TBSP No Sugar Added Peanut Butter
- 33 pieces Lilly's Milk Chocolate Chips
Instructions
-
Put your egg yolks and allulose in a bowl and mix with your hand mixer until the mixture has doubled and is a very pale yellow in color.
-
Add the heavy whipping cream, almond milk, salt, vanilla extract, and banana extract. Mix lightly with the hand mixer.
-
Place this mixture into your ice cream maker and turn on. While this is mixing in the machine, place your two tbsp peanut butter in a little baggie and cut the corner off. Once the ice cream has thickened a little and is starting to look like ice cream, squeeze the peanut butter into the machine.
-
Count out 33 chocolate chips and carefully cut them into smaller pieces (you can also use a Lilly's chocolate bar and shave it, but my store was out). Once the ice cream has about 5 minutes remaining, add the chocolate chips.
-
When finished, scoop the ice cream into your freezer container. You can have some of it now (resembles soft serve) or wait for it to freeze a little more in the freezer.

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream!
Everyone really will be screaming when they taste this delicious Keto ice cream! People usually say one of two things to me when they find out I am on the Keto diet. The first is usually, “how can you be on such a restrictive diet?” and the second is, “don’t you ever just want to eat ice cream or something like that?”. My response is always the same to them. The Keto LIFESTYLE may seem restrictive, but it’s really not, if you think about it. While I may not grab a bag of chips and eat it, I have other crunchy, salty snacks that I eat in its place. The ice cream, as well as the other desserts and foods that I make are just as good, if not better, than the “regular” food item. To me, they are usually better. You don’t taste all the artificial ingredients because…there aren’t any! It may take me a little longer to plan and prepare, but I very much prefer to make all my own food. I like knowing exactly what is in my food and going into my body.

Linked above are my two favorite brands of Allulose. Powdered Allulose is probably best because it is so fine, but I haven’t had a chance to order the powdered (and I’ve been too lazy to make mine powdered in my blender) so the regular, crystalized Allulose has worked just fine!
What’s Your Favorite Flavor?
I am constantly thinking about what flavor to make next. My daughter keeps telling me to make superman. With that flavor being three different colors and flavors, I’m not quite sure how to make it with just one ice cream maker! My favorite ice cream has always been strawberry. That may be my next one to make. What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?
