One of my favorite things is Chinese food. When I found out I had to go gluten free, I pretty much stopped eating it. With soy sauce in so many of the dishes, the cross contamination just seemed too high for me to risk it. And I realize, that could totally be my own comfort level when it comes to eating out! However, not too long ago, I tried making a family favorite, orange chicken and it turned out AMAZING! Another favorite is General Tso’s chicken. This low fat Chinese food I made for dinner last night tasted very similar to General Tso’s! Both kids ate multiple helpings!

How Did We Like the Low Fat Chinese Chicken?
First, when you are making this, allow for the sauce to thicken a little more. I didn’t and I should have. It was still delicious and I liked having extra sauce because I made steamed broccoli and poured some sauce on it. If the kids wouldn’t have freaked out, I would have thrown the broccoli in with the chicken and sauce, but I really didn’t feel like listening to them complain that there was broccoli pieces on their chicken! My daughter told me she liked this one a lot and my son asked me when I was going to make it again…so I call this one a definite winner!
