My husband and I like to take road trips. We always have. Just the other night we were discussing what kind of car we wanted to get for our next car. Right now I drive a car and while I like it (the trunk is huge), I do have my moments of missing my big SUV. After checking out the Paul Conte Cheverolet website, my husband immediately jumped at one of the four door trucks. I don’t know how practical that would be (gas wise) for a road trip, but it would help when we need to haul things! At any rate, there were some really good deals, both on the trucks AND a more practical road trip car! The other day I mentioned how I like to make sure that our road trips are successful by keeping the kids busy and with their own snack container. However, since going gluten free, it’s not been all that easy for me on a road trip. Sure I can pack snacks that are gluten free, but lets be honest here. After making sure our clothes are packed and the kids all of their snacks and other items to keep themselves occupied, I am going to forget to buy my gluten free snacks. It’s just how it goes.
One way to insure I have my gluten free snacks ready is to keep a container of this super easy PB & Berry Blast snack mix made and ready to go! And let me tell you, make sure you make enough because EVERYONE will want to eat your gluten-free snacks. I should just bite the grocery bill bullet and make my kids fully gluten free too…they eat all of my gluten free food anyway!

PB & Berry Blast Snack Mix
Ingredients
- 3 cups Van’s Gluten Free Blissfully Berry Cereal
- 1 1/2 cups Gluten Free Pretzel Sticks
- 1 1/2 cups Roasted Salted Peanuts
- 1 cup Freeze-Dried Strawberries
- 1 cup Dried Blueberries
Directions
In a large bowl, toss together all of the ingredients. Store in an airtight container.
Sounds good, doesn’t it?!? The Van’s Gluten-Free cereal is absolutely delicious! My favorite is Cocoa Sensation cereal! Just the right amount of cocoa flavor! Perfect for those late night snacks when you want something crunchy AND chocolaty!
I don’t know about you, but at first I was really upset that I couldn’t have my normal road trip snacks of licorice and bad for you fast food, but now I am very thankful for this tasty concoction!

I moved from the Pacific Northwest to the Midwest, and the scenery in Utah is unbelievable. It is nice enough to be worth driving to without any final destination at the end. Once you hit Wyoming it flattens out for the most part, and Nebraska is so flat that you can see for 100 miles in all directions., but Utah is great.
My favorite road trip was driving to CT from PA with my hubby and oldest son 4 years ago. We had a blast and got to visit lots of fun places, playgrounds, a dino park, even an amazing gluten free bakery!
When I was young my family traveled with my grandparents in their TV from Michigan to California. It took all summer as we stopped everywhere, and it was amazing. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway.

My favorite road trip as when my family and I went to Tennessee and saw the mountains for the first time. We stayed in a nice cabin, went hiking, took lots of photos, went to state parks; it was a great trip!
One of my more memorable road trips: Going across North Dakota and into Montana— then up into Canada when I was about 14. One night I was awakened by the earth underneath me shaking like crazy. I thought it was an earthquake! (I was sleeping in a pup tent with a sibling. The rest of the family was in the pick up camper.) We all jumped out of bed! Then we heard the whistle. We were parked close to the train tracks!
