Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about our 10 year wedding anniversary. It doesn’t happen for another 2 years, but anyone that knows me knows that I am a planner. Anyhow, I definitely want to go away somewhere just him and I. He would love to take me on a cruise…me, not so much. The idea of being on a boat, rocking back and forth, just does not appeal to me.
Instead, I would love to go to Vegas…see a show or two and get remarried in front of Elvis in some cheesy hourly wedding chapel. I can already picture the scrapbook I would make when I got back and the purple coverset I would put it in. Purple seems like a nice Vegasy color.
Being the planner I am, I have the whole vision of our Vegas wedding in my head. It would be about 6 months before our 10th anniversary when Dan looks at me and tells me how much he loves me and that if someone were to hit the giant rewind on life button, he would still marry me over again. Totally romantic, right? Well it gets better. He looks me in the eyes and pulls out two tickets to Vegas and tells me we are flying there for our 10th anniversary. And thus starts our Vegas adventure planning!
Of course I want to do all the Vegas type things. I want to stay in a hotel with a giant circle bed with mirrors on the ceiling. I want to go to the dancing water fountains (heard someone talk about it before). But most of all, I want to get totally wasted and get married by Elvis.
But here’s the best part of all. Since we were getting remarried, I had to have a ring. As we are saying the “I Do’s” Dan pulls out the most gorgeous 3 square diamond ring EVER! As he slides it onto my right ring finger (I have short stumpy fingers so there is no way I could wear it on my left hand) he says to me that he loves me more now than he did the day we got married!
After getting married, I want to go see a true Vegas show! Not sure what show.
Doesn’t this sound like the best vow renewal ever?!?

Nick and I stayed at Ceasar's on a round bed with mirrors on the ceiling! AND we weren't even married! Scandalous!
Actually that sounds like an awesome way to spend your 10th! I LOVE VEGAS!

TOTALLY sounds like the ideal plan. Have Dan read your blog. 😉
The fountains at Bellagio Hotel are magnificent (the french onion soup across the street at something-Gaby is super too!)
