My son is the BIGGEST Star Wars fan there is. And he’s only 7. I say it like that because he’s 7. Star Wars originated in the mid 1970’s and here a child that is 7 years old in 2011, is a HUGE fan. I can’t think of anything out there that has lasted this long and continues to draw new fans generation after generation. George Lucas sure knew what he was doing!
About a month ago, Star Wars the Complete Saga was released on Blueray Disc. In honor of this release, select General Mills cereals have limited edition image on their cereal boxes. These good versus evil images, when combined, make a panoramic poster. These select General Mills cereal boxes are being sold exclusively at Walmart for a limited time only. Choose from Honey Nut Cheerio’s, Lucky Charms and Cinnamon Toast Crunch (ironically, my kids three favorite cereals). The limited edition cereal boxes have images of all the favorite characters like Darth Vadar, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, and more!
The second I received those three boxes in the mail, I strategically placed them on the kitchen table and called my son into the room. He flipped out! Almost immediately he realized that if he moved the boxes around, they all fit together to form one large image. He has made me promise him that I won’t throw the boxes away. He wants to hang them on his wall! My daughter, while she likes Star Wars too…she was just happy to have Cinnamon Toast Crunch!

Here’s a piece of trivia for your son: the main Ewok that befriends Princess Leia in Return of the Jedi is named Wicket W. Warrick in honor of the actor who portrayed him, Warrick Davis. He was only 11-years-old at the time! He went on to star in another big fantasy series, Harry Potter, as Professor Flitwick and Griphook the Goblin!
