Basically to just hold; cuddle with; smell that awesome baby scent; listen to it coo; etc. Almost a year ago I had a procedure done that prevents me from having anymore children. Technically I can still get pregnant, however I would never be able to carry a baby to term. So because of that, Dan had the big V. Never once, since having those procedures done, have I had baby fever. Until yesterday.
Yesterday our cousin came over with her new baby who is about 2 months old or so. I held him and listening to the baby coo as he wriggled around in my arms was almost too much to bear. I had forgotten how much I love the baby stage. Smelling that sweet baby smell just about put me over the edge.
With all that said, I don’t want more children. I just want to be able to hold babies. Maybe some day I can volunteer at the hospital nursery to hold the babies! Sounds like the perfect job to me!!

I know that feeling all too well. I think that's why I'm looking forward to grandchildren. Then we can hug, kiss, hold and smell their sweet little heads, then pass them back to mom when the crying starts.

That's how I was with my niece when we visited my family. It was great to hold a baby again, but it was WONDERFUL to give her back to her parents. No more middle of the night wakings, and I'm almost done with diapers. I'm glad.

I have the same problem! I held a friend's brand-new baby yesterday and baby fever ensued! Even though you may know you're not going to have more babies, there's something about cuddling a new one that just triggers that urge. =)
