My son Zachary definitely loves to be the center of attention. If he can make you laugh, he is happy. Always telling jokes; always the loudest one laughing; and he has one of those laughs that makes you laugh right along with him, even if you don’t know what he is laughing about.
Well today, at his first t-ball game, things were no different. It was his turn to bat and he walks up to home plate and hits the plate, like a real baseball player (or someone else…read on…). After hitting the ball of the tee and about damn near spinning himself all the way around, Zachary begins his run to first base bobbing his head up and down as he runs to make his helmet cover his face. If that weren’t enough, he then begins shaking his head trying to get it to spin all the way around. Are you getting an image in your head? Remember that scene in Chicken Little when Chicken Little hits the ball and as he is running the helmet covers his face and then spins all the way around? How’s that image now?
As I mentioned in a previous post, Zachary will be going to Kindergarten this coming school year. No matter how much we talk to him about listening, paying attention, etc…the need to be the clown is just much much stronger in him. I should make up one of those square chart thingies they use in basketball and football to win money to take a poll as to how close to the beginning of the year it will be when I get a note home about Zachary and his traveling comedian act!
I have decided that I am going to save every single note I get home and scrapbook it. While the experiences may not be funny as they are happening, I am sure one day when my husband and I are rocking in our matching rocking chairs side by side in a kickin’ retirement home, we can pull out the scrapbook of letters and enjoy a good laugh about our son and his antics!

My son was/is the same way. My son has a June bday, and was one of the young ones in his Kindergarten class. We had several behavioral issues with him until this year (2nd grade). I've seen him mature a little more, but the key at school is for the teacher to keep my son BUSY. Then he doesn't have time to think up antics on his own LOL.
