So today I thought I would take my kids to the park. It was a beautiful day and it was either go to the park or wash my kitchen floor. I chose the park. Any sane person would have. Anyhow, I’m sitting there under my covered pavilion, minding my own business, reading Twilight (great book by the way and yes I know I am a tad late on that bandwagon), and watching my kids play in the sand when all of a sudden…all kinds of bikes with huge orange flags attached to the back of them, rode up to the park.
If that wasn’t weird enough, they then came into the pavilion holding hands and forming a circle. I knew they were going to start praying so I assumed (and assumed correctly) that they were part of some church group. But what happened next was something I was NOT expecting. They started thanking God for their food to the Flinstones theme song. It went a little something like this:
And let us thank Him for our food.
God is–great–and God is–good
And let us thank Him for our food.
Amen. Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-men.
Amen. Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-men.
God is–great–and God is–good
And let us thank Him for our…
We’ll thank Him for our…
We’ll thank Him for our food!
