It has been damn near 70 degrees here lately, which is unheard of at this time of year. But, where I live, anything is possible when it comes to the weather. So I decided to take the dog for a walk. Everything was going great. She was walking real nice next to me…wasn’t pulling…nothing. We walked 2 miles! Now you’re probably like, “um…so”…I am so beyond out of shape, 2 miles is awesome. So awesome in fact, I now feel shin splints coming on. That’s right. I got shin splints from walking my dog. WTH?
So if you’re reading this and thinking about wanting to get into shape and thinking, “hmm I better take things slow and start out with walking”…yea. You might want to think again…only I don’t know what you (or I) could do to take it any slower!
Only me lol.

painful painful. I have them as well but I really felt it with my walk I took with my husband last night. I must admit though I work out thr to four times a week at the gym (I usually do biking or the rowing macine or weights etc).

this cracked me up! I bet I would get shin splints just walking through the mall at this point!

Hmmm…maybe I'll just start out with picking up the remote 10 times in a row!!!
