I usually can’t stand cartoons. They drive me crazy. You either have a bald little kid whining to get his way all the time or you have two rabbits running around with no parents in sight. But every so often there comes a long a show that I can tolerate or–gasp–like. One of those shows is Olivia on Nick Jr. Sure Olivia is bossy, but what big sister isn’t? She’s also not the most tolerable of her little brother…or bother as she calls him, but again…that’s understandable too. But what’s nice is, Olivia’s mother teaches Olivia how to treat her brother properly. Aside from all of that, the main reason I like Olivia is for her creativity. Each show we are given the opportunity to see that creativity come alive.
Well the people over at Spinmaster came up with some toys based on the Olivia show that are geared for children 4 years and up and really shows off that creativity and allows for the child’s creativity to shine through as well.
We were lucky enough to receive two Olivia toys by Spinmaster, the Olivia 2-In 1 Transforming Playsetand an 8″ Olivia Plush toy. Here is a little information about each toy from Spinmaster:

My kids always get excited when they see a box come to the house, but they were both especially excited when we opened up this box. Right away my son told my daughter that she could have the Olivia 8″ Plush, but they had to share the house. They love to set it up for each other and because it only came with one figure, my son has taken to using his army men. They play “Olivia “and the army men who invaded the pirate ship” quite often!
The one thing I noticed, and it very well could be that my kids tried opening the separate sides of the house without using the correct button, is that when they have it all closed up and are walking and holding it with the handle, the house opens up and everything falls out. But again, like I said, they could have not listened to me when I showed them the correct way to open it. Wouldn’t be the first time 😉 All in all, I would totally buy this as a gift for a friends child or recommend the Olivia toys as Christmas gifts.

So true!! I have the same issues with those particular cartoons. Seriously, what's with the bald head? The kid is at least 4 or 5 years old – draw him some hair already!
