Yep…you read that right! Watch the video below for the whole story:
So what do you think? Did the dad go overboard? Apparently he’s getting a lot of flack for what he did. People are saying that he has ruined any chance of having a relationship with his daughter; they’re saying he overreacted.
Personally, I’d love to high five this guy. What his daughter did was absolutely uncalled for and let’s not forget, utterly disrespectful. My children would not see the light of day if either one of them every did something like this. I may not put a bullet in their computers (I don’t own a gun), but you better believe I give huge props to this guy for actually standing up and being a parent to his daughter. I guarantee you she will never do something like that again. She may “hate” her dad for awhile, but this is one of those lessons that will stay with her and I bet she’s learned her lesson.
Leave me a comment and tell me what you think! But please, let’s remember to be respectful of everyone’s opinion!

I love this dad. I know there is no way I would have ever tried to pull that with my parents (not that we had FB when I was a kid) but the total lack of respect deserved to be dealt with and this was perfect!
More dads like him and there would be less disrespectful 15 year olds who think we owe them something.

Couldn’t agree with you more!

I think putting a bullet in the computer was a bit unnecessary – but not wrong. (Getting rid of it was a great thing, but selling it would have worked just fine.) Too many Americans have forgotten that parents are PARENTS, not “friends.”
When parents were parents, MORE teenagers had positive relationships with their parents, and FEWER were committing suicide or on antidepressants. Definitely fewer were making stupid, life-altering decisions. I just hope the Parental Rights Amendment gets passed (see parentalrights.org) so that parents wtill have the right, a generation from now, to be parents.

I respectfully disagree. I could go on and on about it, but I actually did a post about this myself and included a spoof from another blogger that I admire. Check it out if you get a chance: http://www.unknownmami.com/2012/02/dads-gone-wild.html
Better than my posts are the comments I got on the post.
