It’s hard to believe that my baby girl has turned six years old. It seems just like yesterday that I had her. I can still remember the day that we drove to the hospital to have her. Since I had a c-section with my son, I decided to have a repeat one with my daughter. I was terrified. Even though I knew what to expect with the surgery, the fact that I had a son at home waiting for me made me think of all the crazy things that could happen to me in surgery. And of course I had all the feelings that I think lots of mothers have when they are having their second child…how will I love the second child as much as I love the first? But of course, those fears were soon forgotten as soon as I held Isabella in my arms…especially when I saw Zachary holding Isabella.

She’s Six Years Old!
Because we’ve been so busy, Bella’s birthday managed to last several weeks. It started with her taking cupcakes to school on her real birthday. That same evening she took suckers to the girls at her cheer practice. After cheer practice we went to her favorite restaurant, Max and Erma’s. The following weekend she had a Build a Buddy party where she and her friends made stuffed animals and they had a blast! Finally, today we celebrated her birthday with our immediate family. Who knew that turning six could be this much fun?!
A Tinkerbell Birthday
Bella chose the menu for today…her favorite food…chili dogs. So we had chili dogs, Chinese coleslaw, garden salad, macaroni and cheese, fruit salad, potato chips and dip, chips and salsa, cake and ice cream. Bella asked for a “fancy cake” this year. In past years I’ve found a picture of a cake online and taken it to a local bakery to have it made for her brother. Bella has always chosen a cake from a book at Sam’s Club. Apparently that was not fancy to her! So I got her a fancy cake! Since she loves Tinkerbell

Isn’t it beautiful?!? I got the cake at Walmart. Bella was beside herself excited when she saw it. However, after tasting it, she decided that she wanted to go back to the “non-fancy” cakes! She’s not a fan of colored frosting. Here’s a picture of Bella and her cousin Charlotte.
I absolutely love this picture of Bella and her cousin! They don’t see each other all the time, but when they do…they have a blast together!
