If you have a larger bust or a disproportionate top half, it can be tricky to find the right clothes, cuts and designs to flatter. Â The key is to embrace what you have, before thinking about having a breast reduction, and know what garments and styles suit a top-heavy figure best! I’ve always wished I was a little bigger on top. When I wore more plus sized clothing, I was always frustrated that, while I had a plus size lower half, I did not have a plus sized chest. Mentioning something like this to busty women always gets me the look.

Shopping Tips for Busty Women
- V-necks are a great choice for busty girls. Â If you want to make a feature of your cleavage, and why on earth wouldn’t you want to show off your best asset, garments with V-neck necklines are the best choice. Â As the V of the neckline points downwards, it also has the effect of slimming and elongating the body from the top down, as well as making your cleavage look glorious.
- Try square necklines when you want to cover up. Â V-necks are all well and good when you want to show off your biggest and best assets, but it isn’t always appropriate to show cleavage. Â Besides, not everyone wants the kind of attention that comes with having a large chest. Â If you want to cover up but still flatter your bust, a square neckline is perfect. Â It doesn’t squash your chest unflattering like a higher neckline does, but instead offers enough room for your bust, creates definition and adds structure to this part of the body.
- Avoid spill over at all costs. Â If you have a large bust, it is difficult to find clothes that aren’t too tight up top. Â Some busty girls go for strapless pieces to show off their best assets, but this can cause unsightly and unflattering spill over, usually into the armpits or up to your neck. Â Not a good look!
- Cinch in your waist. Â By defining your waist, you can accentuate your bust in exactly the right way and create a gorgeous hourglass silhouette. Â A belt is your best friend when it comes to nipping in your waist, but you can also choose pieces with cinching or details around the waist to achieve the same effect.
- Balance your bottom half with your top half. Â If you have a big bust or have recently undergone breast augmentation, you are likely to be quite top-heavy. Â This can throw your proportions out of balance. Â To counter this and create the perfect hourglass shape, you need to draw more attention to your bottom half with flared skirts, wide-leg trousers and detailing around the hips, as well as cinching in and defining your waist.
