I love using my slow cooker. I like putting things in there in the morning and know that when dinner time rolls around, it’s ready to eat! Today I decided to make a pork roast. I love making these because you can experiment with different flavors and usually anything you put in there tastes good.
Today I decided to do a Hawaiian theme and OH MY GOODNESS, it was good!
Cranberry Pineapple Pork Roast Slow Cooker Recipe
Ingredients
- Pork tenderloin (mine was a little over 5lbs)
- 2 small-medium sized sweet onions
- One 20 oz can of pineapple tidbits (be sure to get the one in pineapple juice, not heavy syrup)
- One can of whole berry cranberry sauce
- 1 cup of teriyaki sauce marinade
- Pepper
- Mince garlic
Directions
- Slice the onions and place on the bottom of the slow cooker. Set the pork tenderloin on top. I put it fat side up and then flipped it halfway through (mainly because I thought maybe I should have put it fat side down!!).
- Generously rub pepper on the pork tenderloin and sprinkle some minced garlic over top of it. Pour the teriyaki sauce marinade over top of the pork roast.
- Open the can of whole berry cranberry sauce and mash it up with a spoon or a potato masher. Add the pineapple tidbits and juice and mix together. Pour this mixture over the pork roast.
- Cook on low for 7 hours.
Here is what it looked like in the slow cooker, ready to be cooked:

You know a recipe is good when my kids eat it! Everyone that ate this said it was absolutely delicious! Next time I may add a tiny bit more garlic, but other than that, I wouldn’t change a thing. This is definitely a keeper for the recipe box. I think I will also try this on chicken and maybe even our Thanksgiving Turkey!
