In exactly 14 days, I will be heading to Mexico for the first time! I will be heading to Cozumel with 39 other bloggers on Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas. I am VERY excited to, not only go on my first cruise, but to also visit Mexico! I am personally sponsored by pickURgift.com…if you haven’t been to this site yet, you need to check it out! It has changed the game of gift giving and brought the fun back into it! You can follow along on my adventures in Mexico by searching the hashtag, #SeasTheDay on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!

Whether you’re an intrepid traveler, a couple or a family in search of entertainment, you’re in for a travel treat if you choose Mexico holidays. With more than 6,000 miles of sand ranging from huge, modern resorts to hidden-away retreats, colonial cities and ancient runs, Mexico is ripe for exploring. Kids and adults alike will love the country’s wildlife and history and can be sure of a hearty welcome from the Mexican people.
Take Mexico City. Despite the hustle and bustle, there’s a range of activities and excursions that leaves no one twiddling their thumbs. Chapultepec Park, for instance, has an amusement and water park, a large zoo, pony rides, rowboats and bicycles for rent and frequently features performances by acrobats, pole dancers…the list (and the fun!) is endless! It also has the third largest public square in the world. Surrounding the square is an excavated Aztec temple, a museum, the national palace and Latin America’s largest cathedral. Head to the southwest of the city and in the Santa Fe shopping mall you’l find the Cuidad de los Ninos (the City of Children). This miniature city where children work as bakers, hairdressers and firefighters is incredible to witness.
Out on the coast, Puerto Vallarta has nearly 30 miles of sand and you can also go for watersports such as snorkeling, surfing, kayaking and parasailing. The old town, with its cobblestone streets and a mansion that used to belong to Burton and Taylor, is also worth exploring.
Also on the west coast of Mexico is Mazatlan. This has long been one of Mexico’s most popular tourist destinations due to its fabulously long stretches of beach and historic town. Nowadays it also has a water park, an aquarium and is fast developing a reputation as a destination for sports fishing. There are also many beaches that offer calmer waters, so the children can splash around in and have fun ad you can finally learn how to surf (you know you want to!)!
Finally, at the bottom of the Baja California peninsula is the spot of Los Cabos, where you have San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. The former is more tranquil while the latter is something more of a party town. A 17 mile corridor of resorts and golf courses connects them. If you go there in the winter, you can also do some whale watching too!
Summer or winter, families or the solo traveler — visit Mexico and you can only ever have a good trip.
