In about 19 days, I will be heading out to sea on my first cruise ever as part of a Brandcation event put on by Momdot and Brandfluential and sponsored by Royal Caribbean (I am personally sponsored by pickURgift.com). Everyone’s talking about what they are bringing. I personally do not want to bring my laptop. I just paid this darn thing off and the last thing I want to do is break it or something. One thing I know I want to bring is a camera. However, my choices are the camera on my iphone or my DSLR and that, like my laptop, makes me nervous. So I started looking around for something different that costs less, but still takes amazing photos.

One thing I knew I did NOT want was a point and shoot camera that takes forever to take a picture. I mean, we’ll be on the ocean…we could see dolphins. I don’t want to try and take a picture of a dolphin, but it already be under water by the time the camera takes the picture. That would be annoying. Everything I found was more than I wanted to spend. Until I walked into Sams Club. Sams Club had the camera that I’ve been wanting for quite some time AND they had it on clearance (probably to make room for a newer model…I don’t care about newer models)!

I really like the Best Moment Capture. With this feature, you take 15 pictures with the push of one button. You then can replay those images back in slow motion to pick the best one OR if you don’t want to pick it, you can have the S1 pick it for you! This is perfect for when you are trying to get pictures of your kids at their sports!

Here’s a picture I took at my sons 4th grade musical. It was pretty dark in the cafeteria and I did not use a flash because the musical was being professionally recorded.
I’m happy with how the picture turned out, especially with the flash turned off! What do you think?
