I was talking to someone last week, telling them that I was test driving a Kia Forte for a week and they laughed at me.
“A car’s a car. What’s the big deal?”
Sure…a car is just a car, but how often does someone looking to purchase a car get the opportunity to really test drive the car for an entire week? Shoot, when my husband was looking for a car, the dealer road in the car with us. That was awkward. And it wasn’t even like he was test driving a super fancy car that you have to sell your first born for. So yes, getting to test drive a car for a week without the salesperson breathing down your neck IS a big deal.
**I had the option to test drive the 2014 Kia Forte. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are 100% my own.

My Thoughts About the Kia Forte
I really enjoyed driving it! I normally drive a big SUV so I have to be very careful turning into parking spaces, etc because the turning is much stiffer/tighter, but not with the Kia Forte! I could whip in and out of parking spaces and I liked that! Who wouldn’t?!? The other thing I really like about the Kia brand is their warranty; 10 years/100,000 miles. This warranty consists of:
- 10-year/100,000 mile limited powertrain warranty
- 5-year/60,000 mile limited basic warranty
- 5-year/100,000 mile limited anti-perforation warranty
- 5-year/60,000 mile roadside assistance plan
*Each provides coverage until either the yearly or total mileage figure is reached–whichever comes first.
I also liked the trunk size. It’s HUGE. When my kids saw it, they begged me to let them climb inside to see if they both fit…they did! Shoot…I think my 6’2″ husband would probably fit, but he was boring and wouldn’t try!
If you haven’t driven a Kia before and you are looking for a new car, head on over to your local Kia dealership and drive one!
