When you are looking for a new car, what are some must have features? For me, I have to have leather seats. I don’t even know why cars have cloth seats anymore. I’d love to say that I don’t allow my kids to eat in the car, but let’s face it…it happens and with cloth seats, the seats would be stained before we drove out of the dealership. Heated seats are another must have, especially since I live in Michigan and our winters are brutally cold. Oh! How could I forget…another thing I’ve learned that I cannot live without is a remote car starter!
Last week, I had the opportunity to test drive the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SE AWC. My kids get very excited when I test drive cars. And boy have they turned into quite the little reviewer! They are super quick to point out what they like or don’t like about the car.
About the Outlander Sport SE AWC
The 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SE AWC is a crossover SUV that starts at $24,195. It is FULL of great features such as…
- All wheel control (AWC)
- Super-wide high intensity discharge headlights <–so awesome!
- Rain sensing windshield wipers
- ECO drive indicator
- 60/40 Split fold down back seat
- One-touch start/stop engine switch
- Hill start assist
- LATCH child safety seat anchors and & upper tethers
And so many more features that are beyond great! The particular car that I drove this past week also had a $4900 Touring package that includes:
- Navigation system with high definition 7″ touch screen, real time traffic, 3D mapping, and Mapcare® includes 2 annual map updates
- Leather seating surfaces
- 710W Rockford Fosgate® Premium Sound System
- Auto-dimming rearview mirror
- Power driver seat
- Panoramic glass roof w/LED illumination
- Black roof rails
The one thing that really surprised me about this car is how big the backseat is. We took the kids and one of Bella’s friends to their first concert on Saturday night and all three of them, one in a booster seat, fit comfortably in the backseat! They also all very much enjoyed the panoramic glass roof! It was rather neat to sit and look up at the night sky!
And finally…and I love that cars are starting to do this…I love how friendly and polite the Mitsubishi Outlander is…every time I turn off the car and before I get out, I see this message:
Overall, I would recommend this car! The one thing I didn’t care for, but would probably get over, is that the car seems louder to me than the one I currently drive. Louder at stoplights, for example. But…like I said, that is something I’d probably get used to and totally forget about!
