Despite the fact that we just got dumped with a ton of snow, I can’t help thinking about spring coming soon and the Easter dinner I want to host. Likewise, when I start thinking about hosting Easter, I then start thinking about what delicious dessert recipe I will make. Since my husband and I are following the Keto diet, I will probably make a cheesecake (no crust) for the adults. However, for the kids I was thinking about making this yummy Springtime Muddy Buddies recipe! Most importantly, this dessert is gluten free!

Springtime Muddy Buddies Dessert
Ingredients
- 1 cup Ghirardelli White Chocolate Wafers
- 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 cup+ Powdered Sugar
- 3 cups Chex Cereal
- 1 cup Pastel Colored M&M Candy
- 1 cup Pastel Mini-marshmallows
Directions
- Prep a large cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Using a large measuring cup, pour 3 cups of Chex cereal into a large bowl.
- Pour the white chocolate wafers into the top of a double broiler (this can be used with any saucepan you have!!). Melt chocolate and stir often.
- Slowly pour the warm, melted chocolate over the Chex cereal. Using a wooden spoon, begin to gently mix the chocolate and the cereal.
- Scoop the coated cereal into a large plastic bag. Add in the powdered sugar. With your hands, seal the bag closed and begin to shake the two together, insuring that all of the chocolate pieces are covered with sugar.
- Gently pour the cereal onto the lined cookie sheet. Set aside to cool.
- Place the cereal back into the large bowl, once it has cooled. Measure out the M&M candy and the pastel mini-marshmallows to the mix.
- Store in a Ziplock bag or an airtight container. This is my favorite airtight container.
So…doesn’t it look good?!? I love that this doesn’t have peanut butter in it like traditional Muddy Buddies do. Consequently, more people can enjoy this dessert deliciousness! I have a lot of friends that enjoy camping. Coming up with other camping dessert recipes, besides roasting marshmallows and making s’mores can be difficult. However, this is Springtime Muddy Buddies recipes is great to take along with you camping!

I made a spring muddy buddy myself recently. Your colors look much nicer than mine did, you did a great job.

Love this! My daughter loves to put Ghirardelli dark chocolate baking chips on her oatmeal in the morning, but raspberry squares are my favorite for those crazy sweet tooth cravings.
