When my kids were younger, one of the things they LOVED to do was watch funny videos on YouTube. I can’t tell you how many times we would spend an hour or more sitting together with my laptop, laughing hysterically at funny animal videos. However, there were a few times that something inappropriate would pop up and almost give me a heart attack because my kids were sitting there watching and being kids, they saw everything…even when it didn’t seem like they were looking! They still saw! Now, more times than not, you see a parent hand over their iPhone or iPad for their kids to entertain themselves while the parents grocery shopped or stood in line for something. With great apps for kids like Nursery Rhymes by ChuChu TV, parents don’t have to worry about what their kids are watching.

Apps for Kids
There are so many great iPhone apps for kids out there that are great, but if the parents don’t have certain settings set, their kids can then buy a ton of in-app purchases. I had a friend, no joke, who let her child play with iPad while she made dinner and their child purchased a $99 in-app purchase in a matter of minutes.
Why in the world do kid apps need $99 in-app purchases?
They don’t and Nursery Rhymes by ChuChu TV knows this! To get started, you can download the app by visiting one of the links below:
iOS:Â https://itunes.apple.com/app/id1071766186
Android:Â https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chuchutv.android
Once you are in the app, your child can pick any of the videos on the main screen to watch. There are some videos that you have to purchase, but your child will not be able to get to that screen. Once you hit the shopping cart in the upper left hand corner, you are prompted to answer a math question. If your child watched all of the videos on the main screen and you don’t want to purchase additional videos, no worries!! In the upper right hand corner of the screen, you will see a button for the settings. If you click on that, you will again be prompted to answer a math question. From there you can click on YouTube and you will be taken to the ChuChu TV YouTube channel where there are 100’s of videos for your child to watch! In my opinion, this truly is one of the best iPad apps for kids!
So…parents…put your iPad in a kids iPad case and know that, not only is your iPad protected, but your kids will be watching educational videos without being inundated with ads and tempted with in-app purchases!! Oh how I wish I had all of this when my kids were much younger!! Grocery shopping would have been a lot easier!!
