The second I had kids, I told myself that I would always make sure they had something green to wear on St Patrick’s day. Maybe it’s silly, but when I was a kid, I was in early elementary school and I did not wear green to school. Not only was in humiliating to me, but everyone pinched me all day long. So, because of that obviously traumatic situation, I vowed my kids would always have something green to wear. I put together this list of must have St Patrick’s day shirts. There is something for everyone, because lets face it, even as an adult, I want shirt to wear!

Like I said, I made sure to get my kids green, St Patrick’s day themed clothes, early on. There are so many adorable shirts out there for toddlers and preschool aged kids. My personal favorite was one I got my son when he was in preschool. The shirt had a leprechaun body and, when my son was wearing it, his head was the head on the leprechaun. Elementary School Aged T-Shirts
While we dress our toddlers and preschool aged children in green clothing or special St Patrick’s day shirts for us, when our kids reach elementary school, we do it for them. I remember when my daughter was in second grade. She came home the week of St. Patrick’s day and reminded me multiple times that I needed to remember to get her a themed t-shirt for the end of the week. Little did she know, mama had a semi-traumatic experience and she was already on top of the shirt for her and her brother!

St Patricks Day Shirts for Teens and Adults
As an adult, I still have fun wearing a special shirt for St. Patrick’s day. Whether it is a themed, “Kiss Me, I’m Irish” (which, FYI…I’m not Irish) shirt or just a green shirt, I still get into it. Now that I have two teenagers, they too get into the St. Patrick’s day traditions. These next few shirts are for teens. Have fun and be safe
If you are a parent to little ones, have fun this St. Patrick’s day. If they are in school where they need to take a lunch, try to pack them as much green stuff as you can. I promise you, they will get a kick out of the special lunch.
Now, if you are an adult and going out for some fun St. Patrick’s day festivities, be safe. Plan to take an Uber to and from the bar. With that said, if you don’t drink, offer to be a driver for your friends. Just be safe.
