I am constantly looking for fun date night ideas. My husband and I have been together for 21 years (married for almost 18). When the type of work schedule my husband has, finding time for date nights has always been difficult. Now that the kids are both teenagers and we don’t need to get someone to watch them, fitting in a date night here or there is a tad easier. The Adventure Challenge book for couples is full of fun date night ideas, in a fun and unique way! I was SUPER excited to be given this book to review!

About The Adventure Challenge Book for Couples
So…what is The Adventure Challenge book? This book comes in three different types…for couples, for families, and for friends. Instead of doing the same thing over and over again for date night, The Adventure Challenge book is filled with ideas…but with a twist. Rather than scrolling through a book and picking something to do, you scratch off a box and whatever it says, you do that night! There are little icons next to each box to give you an idea what to expect. Things like a shopping cart to indicate that you may need to pick up a few things; a baby to show that you will need a sitter; and so on. The best part (besides the fun date night ideas) is that there is a space to write about the date and put a picture to remember the date!

Our Fun Date Night
When I was asked to review this book, I was very excited! I love my husband, but we are terrible at figuring out date night ideas. The book came in the mail last week and we immediately planned to scratch a box off on Saturday.
Our date night reveal…make a pie together. In the 21 years we have been together, I don’t think we have ever made a pie together. I was kind of excited, and it was cheat day! But….wait…there was a twist. One of us had to be blindfolded, while the other guided our hands to do everything!! That sounded really interesting. I opted to be blindfolded. Quite honestly, I didn’t know how I would guide my husbands massive hands to do anything! Being blindfolded wasn’t as easy as it sounded though!
We decided to make a peach pie. After picking up the ingredients we needed, and feeding the kids, we got started on our pie. To say it was difficult being blindfolded, is an understatement. My husband liked to tease me that it’s because I didn’t like relinquishing control over the pie! He’s not wrong! All in all, the pie turned out so good! This will definitely be a pie we make again! We took our picture and once I can get it printed at the store, I will be adding it to the book!
Doesn’t it look delicious?!?
