Are You Protecting Your Children from the Sun?

My kids HATE to put sunscreen on. However, as a mom, I want to protect them from the sun. The excuses I hear are:

“It’s sticky”

“It makes me itch”

“I like to be tan”

Protecting Your Kids from the Sun

That last one is a new one.  My son said that to me this weekend when I wanted to put sunscreen on him. Since when does an almost 8 year old boy want to be tan?  He has a natural olive tone to his skin, so while he has never burned before, even though I forgot sunscreen, I still like to make sure the kids are wearing it.  My daughter is a little better about wearing sunscreen, but she is usually one that is complaining that it itches.

sunUntil now!  I just tried Cover Up Baby by BabyGanics and not only do I like it, but I heard absolutely no complaints from my kids…well accept for the one that wants to be tan (though I may or may not have sat on him to apply it…).  The first thing I noticed about this sunscreen is that it is not greasy or slimy feeling.  The description says that it soaks in immediately and it truly does.  Applying the sunscreen was simple.  I simply sprayed it on their body, rubbed it up and down and sprayed it in my hands to apply it to their face.  The second thing I really liked about this sunscreen is the fact that it contained absolutely zero Paba, Parabens, Sulfates, Phthlates, Nano-Particles or Retinly Pamitate.  Knowing it is keeping them safe from the sun and it’s harmful rays is great, but knowing that it is safe for their skin as well, is even better.

BabyGanics’ Cover-Up Baby Face & Body Sunscreen Spray retails for about $9.99 and can be purchased at the following retailers:

  • Babies R Us
  • Bed, Bath and Beyond
  •  Buy Buy Baby

and online at:

If you would like to try out this sunscreen for yourself, then keep on reading because I am giving one away!!!  Be sure to read all the directions for entering and good luck!!
