Are you familiar with the Hodgson Mill company?  If you aren’t, you should be!  They are a family owned company that has been around for over 125 years and their organic products contain absolutely no preservatives, additives or colorings.  I don’t know about you, but that’s the kind of food I try to always feed my family.

Using their whole wheat bow tie noodles, I created an absolutely delicious Oriental Chicken Pasta Salad.

Oriental Chicken Pasta Salad

Ingredients:

  • One box (10oz) of Hodgson Mill Whole Wheat Bowtie pasta
  • 2-3 carrots, peeled and cut on an angle
  • 1 large red bell pepper, cut into pieces
  • 5 green onions, tops cut off
  • 2 pgks. Oriental Ramon Noodles, uncooked
  • 1lb grilled chicken, cut into pieces
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 Oriental Ramon Noodle flavor packets

 

Steps:

  1. Cook Hodgson Mill Whole Wheat Bowtie pasta according to the package directions.  Drain and run cold water over the cooked noodles and set aside.
  2. Mix the vegetable oil, white vinegar, sugar and Oriental Ramon Noodle flavor packets until the sugar and Oriental flavoring dissolve.
  3. Place pasta, carrots, red bell pepper, green onions and grilled chicken in a large serving bowl.  Crumble the uncooked Ramon Noodles over the pasta and vegetables.  Pour the dressing over top and stir.
  4. Place in the refrigerator for about an hour or two before serving.

    This looks so good. I love Hodgson Mill products. Great recipe. I have heard of several people using Ramen noodles raw but I’ve never tried. I guess I need to :).
