My Dream Vacation

When my husband and I were planning our wedding, we were planning on going on a fancy honeymoon to an island somewhere or even Hawaii.  However, as we started planning it, we realized how much it was and I really didn’t want to spend that much money at that time.  So we never went.  While we’ve been on a handful of vacations the last 12 years we’ve been together, we’ve never been on one of those “once in a lifetime” type vacations.

One of those “once in a lifetime” vacations would be to Kauai in Hawaii.  Live with Kelly went there once to do their show and it looked absolutely beautiful.  Between the crystal clear water and the breathtaking cliffs, I have to see this place in person someday.  So I spent the entire week trying to win a trip to one of their resorts.  Sadly, Kelly Ripa never called me.

But that didn’t stop me from planning my dream vacation!  First we would fly into Lihue Airport.  From there we would rent a car from Kauai Car Rental at Lihue Airport.  I’m thinking a convertible.  Since it would be just the two of us on this vacation, a little two-seater BMW convertible (my dream car)!  Then we would head to one of the beautiful resorts that Kauai has to offer.  While there I would like to renew our wedding vows.  I really wanted to get married on a beach, the first time around, but my husband has such a huge family…it just wasn’t possible.

Have you ever been to Hawaii?  What are the must seen places and things to do while there?

While I’m not looking forward to the insanely long plane ride (I’m not a great air traveler), it is definitely one place I must see before I die.

Leave me a comment telling me about your trip to Hawaii…help me plan the rest of my dream vacation!
