This past October, I attended my first Brandcation event…Brandcation: Blog Cabin in Pigeon Forge, TN. It meant a lot to me to be there. You see…most of the women that attended, I had been talking to for the past four years. Sure I had never met any one of them in “real life”, but I knew these women more than I knew the people I see on a daily basis. While we were there, it was mentioned that this may just be the last Brandcation event. I remember my heart dropping. While I understood why…I didn’t want it to be true. Well guess what?!? Trisha, Lynsey and Blondie decided to put together another Brandcation…this time in Destin, Florida! Right now they are offering past Brandcation attendees the chance to win a ticket and lodging (the winner would cover travel expenses). This is HUGE! I just have to be at Brandcation DESTINation and unfortunately…travel expenses would be too much on top of the ticket and lodging.
All we need to do in order to try and win this ticket is write a post and a panel of judges will determine the winner. So here it goes…
Why I Must be at Brandcation DESTINation
Because I’m lonely.
My husband works in another state Monday through Friday. While I am used to his work schedule, it puts a lot of stress and pretty much all of the responsibility on me to take care of the kids, do homework with them, get to and from the extra curricular activities, etc. Please don’t get me wrong, I enjoy taking care of my kids, but that really doesn’t leave any time for me. I can’t tell you the last time I spent any time with my friends. Oh wait…I can. It was five months ago at Brandcation: Blog Cabin. It’s kind of sad, isn’t it?
Being able to attend Brandcation DESTINation would mean the world to me. It would be the perfect break I needed to recharge my batteries for both myself, my blog and my family. But most importantly, having the opportunity to hang out with a bunch of women who all enjoy similar things as me and who all have a love for blogging like I do, would be amazing. Oh and the beaches, warmth and sun would be great too (I’m in Michigan…need I say more?!?).
I really hope I have a chance to attend this event. Good luck choosing a winner! I know it will be a tough decision.
