Crazy McDonald Mom

It was raining here yesterday. Not just raining, it was pouring. I decided to take the kids to McDonald’s to blow off steam and run around. They are stir crazy;dying to play outside. So McDonald’s seemed like a good idea. Right? I wish.

Another mom came with a boy and a girl the same ages as my kids and they were playing really nice together. Sure we had to tell them to stop play fighting a bit, but that’s pretty normal. Well in walks a mom with her 18 month old son. He was a cutie, but scared of the play area. It was pretty loud in there. But with such a high ceiling, the littlest noise echoed like crazy in there.

The mom with the 18 month old, sent her son to go play on the play structure. Not even 2 minutes later, we all heard terrified screaming. Why? Because someone yelled too loud and it scared him. The mom turned to me and the other mom and gives us a dirty look. Didn’t realize our kids had to play in silence at McDonald’s play area.

What happened next was the absolute worst crime in the history of McDonald’s having a play structure. My son walked up the stairs ahead of the 18 month old boy because the 18 month old was going to slow up the stairs (he could barely get up them). Well that started crying episode number 2 and resulted in the mom telling us that our children are not playing nicely with her son.

WTF? First of all…if you read the rules next to the play structure, you would see that technically your son is too young to play. Second of all…your son is 18 months old and our children are 4, 3 and 2. And finally…our children did nothing wrong.

Get a grip lady and step down from that high horse you rode in on before you fall.

Well this what I like about you “You tell it like it is!”

I can say this in your defense…first of all your kids are just being kids; laughter; squeals of joy…right .

This woman was clearly looking for something to complain about and she is miserable and misery likes company…..don’t let someone like her ruin your day or your kids fun……….
When my kids where small and someone like that came along I would speak aloud and say to my kids oh don’t go near that lady she thinks she to good for us and her way of thinking just might be contagious……..!!!! And if that didn’t work I would say WTF…are you looking at.

Did you say anything to her? What a snot. Clearly her child was too young for the play area.

Ahhhh….the joys of having young children and dealing with neurotic mothers who possess babies under the age of 2.

Something I don’t miss with my older ones.

Nice blog you have here. Don’t remember where I found it from, but it’s been a pleasant read just the same.

What a perfect example of the ‘new generation’. They think the world revolves around them. Hope the kids didn’t even slow down and had a great time!
