I recently found out about the Comcast Xfinity TV Player app. This app is available for FREE (gotta love free!) in both the Apple App store and Google Play. Because I am a Comcast Xfinity customer, I am able to download TV shows and movies from the premium channels I subscribe to, right to my iphone and ipad. They are available even when I’m offline!! This is perfect when we are sitting at my sons football practices or on long road trips.
Probably one of the best things about this app is how the shows and movies are organized.
I like that if I want to find something for Bella to watch while we are sitting at football practice, and man does she get impatient while we are there, all I need to do is click on Family/Kids and I will get all kid appropriate shows. As you can see, Bella asked me to search for her new favorite show, Full House!
Since Full House was not available, I found her next favorite show, Dog with a Blog. Everything is categorized by season and episode number.
If you like a show, which Bella ALWAYS does, you can bookmark it so you can access it very quickly the next time you want to watch it. And like I said, Bella gets VERY bored at football practice. So she’s always wanting to re-watch her favorite shows!
I’m a pretty strict parent when it comes to what I let my children watch. I am forever listening to Zack tell me that his friends are allowed to watch this and they are allowed to watch that and how unfair I am that I don’t let him see the same things. Well, with the Comcast Xfinity TV Player app, you can set up parental controls with a pin number and set locks based on show ratings.
If you haven’t downloaded the app yet, you can learn how by checking out this slideshow. You can learn more about this app, the kid friendly programming and more by visiting www.xfinity.com/summerofkids.
