Hit and Run Car Accident

Today my daughter and I were involved in a car accident. I was driving her to school and instead of getting on the highway (which looked a tad slow) I decided to take the “back” roads. Big mistake. We were STOPPED at a red light and the car behind me came plowing into me! It was crazy. I immediately, after yelling shit which I’m hoping is not one of Bella’s new words, turned on my hazard lights and rolled down my window. She walked up to my car, pointed to the driveway of a business and told me that she was going to pull in there to get off the road. That made sense to me since we were on a super busy road and it was that time of the morning when people were trying to get to work.

I pull over and turn into the driveway just in time to see her drive straight through the light. Never once turning around! WTH? She fled the scene! I called the police and called my husband. Both arrived quickly…I filled out my report and that was that. Luckily my car doesn’t have too much damaged, to the naked eye that is. But I am still planning on taking it in and having it checked out.

I am so royally pissed off. Who the hell flees the scene of an accident? But I am a big believer in karma and while she may have fled the scene, her car had a lot of visible damage and now she has to drive around with it looking like that or pay to have it fixed. Which she wouldn’t be able to put it through insurance because what kind of story could she tell the insurance as to why the hood of her car is smashed up?

Grr…so not how I wanted to start my day.

I'm glad you are both ok!
I honestly don't understand how people can do things like that! 6 years ago, a guy hit me and pulled into the gas station we were around, got out of his car and took off on foot!
I was in a daze so I didn't realize what had happened, and I had a broken elbow from it.
Luckily, the dummy left his wallet in the car so the cops knew exactly who they were looking for! He ended up paying BIG time for it, when he just could of stopped and paid a higher insurance rate for his mistake!

holy crap, are you freaking kidding me? I can't believe she actually got out of her car and agreed to a mutual place to pull over and THEN drove away? WTF?

I hope the police track her down. She is SCUM.

That is horrid! I don't know how people sleep at night after doing stuff like that. I'm so sorry your day started this way but glad you are OK and your daughter is as well.

    She was probably drunk…
