This product review couldn’t have come at a better time.  I had just gotten sick with the flu.  We’re talking puking our brains out, barely able to move (though I did manage to check email…), the whole nine yards.  So when I was asked to review Lysol’s Disinfecting Spray and Disinfecting Wipes, I was like “heck yea”!  My house needed to be majorly disinfected.  So what better way to really see if these products kill germs…

So the products came almost immediately (thank you Caroline!!) and I literally went no where in my house without the spray or wipes in my hand.  If I opened the fridge, I closed it by wiping down the handle.  If I went into the bathroom, I wiped down everything I touched.  And guess what…no one else in my house got sick at all!!!  That never happens in my house.  Now do I say it was solely the Lysol Wipes and Spray?  Of course not.  I mean I was diligent about keeping on top of things…and by keeping on things, the Lysol products did their job!

A little info about each product:

Lysol 4 in 1 Disinfecting Wipes:

  • Kills 99.9% of  Staph, Salmonella and E. Coli bacterias and the influenza A virus.
  • Comes in Citrus Scent and Spring Waterfall
  • 35 wipe canister is $2.99, 80 wipe canister is $5.34, and a 110 wipe canister is $6.79

Lysol Disinfectant Spray:

  • Use to eliminate the following bacteria, fungi and viruses on hard non-porous surfaces:  Influenza, Rhinovirus, Rotavirus, RSV, Staph MRSA and Strep, E.Coli, Salmonella, Campylobacter, athlete’s foot, mold and mildew.
  • Comes in Crisp Linen, spring waterfall, early morning breeze, Garden mist, summer breeze, country scent, and original.
  • 12.5 ounce aerosol can is $4.69 and 19 ounce aerosol can is $5.79.

At lysol I learned: Bacteria can grow and divide every 20 minutes. One single bacteria cell can become more than 8 million cells in less than 24 hours.
