This past weekend, Bella and I traveled to Chicago to visit my brother inlaw, sister inlaw and their adorable little baby girl. It was my first trip alone with Bella and I hope it is the first of many mother daughter trips because it was a blast!!
Bella really enjoyed playing with her little cousin and even told me that she can’t wait until Charlotte is older so she can tell her all about lip gloss…Bella LOVES lip gloss!
On Friday we went to the Lincoln Park zoo for a gorilla’s bday. Yes you read that right! Jo-Jo was turning 30th and we all got to watch him celebrate! So I bet you’re wondering how in the world a gorilla celebrates their birthday. Well the zoo keepers lock all the gorilla’s inside while they set up a bunch of pinata’s filled with their favorite fruits, nuts, and vegetables. Once it was set up, they let the gorilla’s out and we all watched as they made a mad dash for the pinata’s. The best part was watching one of the gorilla’s (whose birthday it was not) horde all the food!
