Since becoming a mom, one thing I am 100% certain of is the fact that if you put something to music, kids will like it and learn it. From day one, my son LOVED music. Whether it was the Arabic music we had playing at our wedding (he loved listening to it in the car…it calmed him) or the lullaby cd that he fell asleep to, music was always a big part of our daily life (and it still is).
Not too long ago I was contacted to review a CD for kids called “It’s a Story Time Jam, Volume 1“. The company, Story Time by Design, founded by Karen Levine and Cori Cohen, has made it their mission to “…change the face of story time by making it educational, structured, entertaining, musical and interactive”. So how do they do this? Stories are performed to current popular music. After checking out their website, I learned that they have a lot of different classes you can sign your children up to, as well as, private classes and they even host birthday parties!!
Soon after receiving this CD, I popped it into the CD player in my car and my daughter and I ran errands while listening. She LOVED it. Her favorite track Some Daddies (she is TOTALLY a daddy’s girl so no surprise there)!
