Staying in a hotel with kids can be stressful. The beds don’t feel just like theirs at home; the room is too hot or too cold; you’re all sleeping in the same room; siblings sometimes have to share a bed. I could go on and on. All of these things could make the evenings rather stressful.
The people at Marriott and Nickelodeon came of with a brilliant idea! Next time you plan a trip, Nickelodeon your stay at participating Marriott hotels! What does that mean exactly? When you plan your trip at a participating Marriott hotel from July – December 2010, your children will get a Nickelodeon keycard, a 4 page activity book, a silicone bracelet with a code for a secret online game, and an activity placemat.
Aside from all I listed above, you have the option of choosing “Family Trip Package A” or “Family Trip Package B”.
Package A contains:
- A Nickelodeon bag
- Sunglasses
- Build your own Spongebob
- Splash Ball
Package B contains:
- Everything in package A
- Nickelodeon turndown service featuring a souvenir pillowcase and a bedtime story
I had the privileged of receiving all of the Nickelodeon goodies in the mail and you would have thought I had one the lottery. My kids were THRILLED! They immediately began dividing up the items and decided to take turns on who got to sleep with the Spongebob pillow-case first (Bella won). They also received a Spongebob book which was neat because it was the episode they had just seen on t.v. so they knew the storyline already and had a blast sitting with each other and “reading” to each other.
I can tell you right now, if we were to be going out of town during the “Nickelodeon Your Stay” campaign, we would definitely be doing that. My kids would love to come back to their hotel room to see a special pillow-case on their bed waiting for them.
