Car shopping can be extremely overwhelming and stressful. You have in your head what you want and when you get to the dealership, there are all kinds of other things to look at and then you start second guessing yourself. Does this ever happen to you? Or you have your spouse with you and they start pointing out other things that you never thought you really cared about, but they are making a big deal out of it so you stop to think, “should I care about that?”. The bottom line is, you’re looking for a car that meets your needs. Whether you are a family of four with young children; a newly married couple; or single, one car that will deliver for all of those situations is the 2016 Mazda CX-5.
*I was given the opportunity to borrow this car for a week. All opinions are 100% my own.
The Mazda CX-5 takes all the guesswork out of car shopping. With great gas mileage (26 MPG combined city/highway) and a 5 star safety rating, you really can’t beat the MSRP of $29, 470! With it’s spacious trunk and ability to seat 5, this car can definitely get you where you need to go! My test for cars is my sons lacrosse bag. If the trunk doesn’t fit the bag, then there is no way that car is the car for us. This trunk definitely fit the massive lacrosse bag!
Car Shopping Tips – Features You Want
I’m going to sound really old for a minute, but nowadays, cars have a TON of features. Some that you really don’t need, but others are really hand. Some standard features that come on the Mazda CX-5 are:
- Push Button Start
- Blind Spot Monitoring
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert
- Dynamic Stability Control
- Traction Control System
- Advanced Dual Front Airbags
- Front Side-Impact Airbags
- Front and Rear Side Air Curtains
- 36 month/36K mile Bumper to Bumper Warranty
- 60 month/60K mile Powertrain Warranty
One optional feature that this car had that I really, really liked are the LED lights. Driving at night with LED lights is amazing!! I don’t particularly like driving at night. I feel like the headlights on my car (and it could be because I am driving a car that is set lower to the ground) don’t light up the way in front of me all that well (they are clean…I checked). Â However, with the LED headlights, EVERYTHING is really lit up in front of you and it’s all nice and bright. I don’t know what it is like for the other drivers, but I never had people flashing their brights at me, so I’m thinking it’s all good!
All in all, the 2016 Mazda CX-5 is a great car and really would make your car shopping easier. So head on out to your nearest Mazda dealer and ask to test drive this car!!
