When my husband and I got married, I was not a very good cook. I messed up every recipe I tried to attempt. Burned chicken to a crisp, but the inside was raw. It was gross…and embarrassing. My husband was used to really good meals…his mom is an AMAZING cook and here he marries the cooking reject. But slowly, as the years went by, I became better and better and now, while I wouldn’t call myself a master chef, I can pretty much handle most recipes.

One thing I really enjoy is cooking with different spices. My husband and I enjoy spicy foods. One of my FAVORITE spices is the Mango Habanera spice by Red Monkey Foods. I used this spice on chicken and then cooked it on my George Foreman grill. This was by far the BEST smelling food I have ever made. I couldn’t wait to try it. The sweetness of the mango really complimented the heat of the habanero and balanced it out so your mouth wasn’t on fire during dinner! My husband loved it too. I think next time I will try it on boneless pork chops.
Another spice by Red Monkey Foods that I was able to try was the Hickory Smoked Balsamic. It was recommended that I try this spice on asparagus…so I did! I like to bake my asparagus in the oven on a baking sheet so I rubbed the Hickory Smoked Balsamic seasoning on the asparagus and popped in in the oven until they were tender and slightly crisp. Mmm. So good!
The last product I got to try was the new bread dippers by Red Monkey Foods. I bought some yummy Italian bread and made up some of the dip for the adults at my daughters birthday party and it was devoured! I will definitely be buying more of the bread dippers! The bread dippers come in three delicious flavors: Roasted Garlic and Herbs, Sun Dried Tomato Parmesan, and Zesty Northern Italian.
