I love vampires.  Love watching them on the big screen, at home cuddled up under my Edward Cullen blanket…OK so I don’t really have an Edward Cullen blanket, but my birthday is coming up…!  Besides watching vampires, I like to read about them too!  One of my favorites is the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris.  I couldn’t put those books down!

Charlaine Harris has been fortunate enough to see her series become a hit HBO television series with True Blood, but now her series can be found in a gaming format with the debut of Dying for Daylight by I-Play!

In Dying for Daylight Dahlia takes players on an epic journey across New Orleans, Memphis and Charleston Harbor to find a legendary sun potion allowing vampires to survive in daylight.Discovering she is not the only one after this powerful tonic, Dahlia must match her wits against a rival sect of vampires who have scattered the ingredients among an avant-garde circus troupe. With each eclectic troupe member holding a piece of the potion, Dahlia must uncover their devious secrets and procure the mixture before it falls into the wrong hands.  By collecting clues, solving puzzles and gathering the needed ingredients, players will guide Dahlia in her mission to find the legendary potion before it’s too late.

I played Dying for Daylight for 2 hours straight the day I downloaded it!  It took me a bit to figure out what I was supposed to do, but once I realized exactly what I was doing…I really liked it.  It is challenging, yet not so hard you want to turn it off in frustration.

You can download a free trial on the I-Play website.  If you are a GameSaver Platinum Member, you can purchase the full version for just $6.95!  But guess what!  One lucky Diaries of a Domestic Goddess reader will win a download code for the FULL version!

I don't know if my first Vampire movie was Once Bitten with Jim Carrey, or Fright Night, but I still LOVE both to this day!!! There is nothing like a cheesy old vampire movie : )
