Shout Out to Eat Out – Wild or Mild

When going out to eat with my family, we like to choose a restaurant that meets ALL of our needs.  Those needs are:

  1. Must be relatively noisy…come on…I have two kids.  The noisier the better!
  2. Must have food that I can eat on my diabetic diet
  3. Must have a decent kids menu

One of our favorite restaurants to go to is Chili’s.   Not only does this restaurant fit ALL of our needs, but their food is really good.  I especially like their chips and salsa…which I will tell you, it was hard limiting myself tonight.  Usually I eat so many chips and salsa that I am ill after.

We decided to eat there tonight to try out the relatively new Wild or Mild menu (not to mention, I had two coupons for a FREE kids meal…so that was a plus)!  After looking over the menu, my husband decided to order the Jalapeno Quasadilla’s and I ordered a steak and we split the meals.  Let me tell you…I WISH I could have eaten the entire plate of Jalapeno Quesadilla’s.  They were phenomenal!  Just the right amount of kick, but doesn’t burn the heck out of your throat.  The steak was pretty good too!

If you ask my kids, Chili’s is the best place to eat, not only because they have chips and salsa, but because they have cinnamon apples and in the eyes of a 4 and 6 year old, cinnamon apples makes all the difference in the world!

The food was great tonight…unfortunately our service was totally lacking.  Our waitress would disappear for long periods of time.  We would ask for things multiple times and she would never bring it out.  However, the manager took care of things for us and once we pretty much fired our waitress, the rest of the meal went well.  If you are hoping to try out the Wild or Mild menu, head on over to your local Chili’s by April 17th.  After the 17th, that menu disappears.

However, from now until April 30th, Chili’s and the Wild or Mild promotion is offering 2 people the chance to win a wild vacation of their dreams to Vegas or a mild vacation of their dreams to Disney.  To enter simply head to this website, create an avatar and upload it to the gallery for the public to vote on.  Good luck!

I was given a Chili’s gift card in order to try out the Wild or Mild menu and write this review.  My opinions of Chili’s and their menu are solely mine.  You may have a different opinion.

Looks like you guys had a great time. I went there last week for the first time and LOVED it. Wish I had my queso skillet coupon though. Your kids are so cute!
