My Ideal Date with my Husband

My husband and I have been married for almost 9 years.  We’re what you would call, an old married couple.  That has it’s ups and downs.  Because we are so comfortable with each other, all that romance and wooing has definitely left the building ages ago.  Occasionally my kids and I will be at the store and walk past the floral department and I will tell them to tell daddy to buy mommy flowers.  It hasn’t worked yet!

So I started thinking…if all that romance and wooing were back in the picture, what would be my ideal date?  That’s easy.  We would get on a plane, fly to San Francisco (mainly because in my head, San Francisco has nice parks and views) and pack a picnic basket with all our favorite goodies and have a picnic while watching the sunset.  With picnic baskets for 2, we can have everything we need for a romantic evening!

I have to tell you, when I picture this romantic evening in San Francisco, I picture the park where the family in Full House has their picnic!  And in my picnic basket I have to have a round loaf of bread, wedges of cheese, wine (though I don’t really care for wine, but you have to have wine on a picnic), strawberries, and chocolate for dessert!

What is your ideal date?
