Do you lie to your kids?  Now think before you answer that question.  I bet many of you immediately wanted to say “no of course not”, but when you stop and think about it we tell little white lies to our kids every single day.  Just yesterday my daughter was asking me if the Easter Bunny was real.  I answered her question with a question (which really frustrates her!) and said “do you think he’s real Bella?”.  She thought about it for a moment and said, “well I don’t know.  I mean yea, but is it a person in a costume?”.  And the questions went on and on to which I finally said “yes if you think the Easter Bunny is real, then it’s real”.  Obviously we all know I just lied.

Now let me ask you this, do you let your kids know it’s OK to lie sometimes?  Again, think before you answer this…the answer is…YES!  I don’t know about you, but right before my kids birthday party I am notorious for saying “if you already have a present that you’ve just opened, smile and say thank you.  If you are asked if you like the gift, smile and tell them yes and thank you”.  So basically I am telling my kids to lie…even if they hate the gift I tell them to say they like it and thank them.  Sure I am teaching them to be appreciative…but the bottom line is, I am letting them know it’s OK to lie.

On April 16th at 8pm on FOX the movie Truth Be Told will be airing.  I had the opportunity to get a sneak peek at this movie and I have to tell you, I LOVED it!  I am a huge Candace Cameron Bure fan.  Have been since her Full House days, so it was a  no brainer that I would probably love this movie because she was in it.  Here is a little synopsis of the movie:

When leading marriage counselor Annie Morgan (Candace Cameron Bure) is offered an opportunity to host a relationship talk show, she jumps at the chance. But fearful that being single might ruin her big break, she conspires with an old college friend and recent widower, Mark Crane (David James Elliott), to pose as a married couple with kids. Their story starts to unravel when Annie and Mark join her eccentric soon-to-be boss (Ronny Cox) for a weekend at his ranch in New Mexico. Comical misunderstandings mark the event as Annie struggles to keep up the ruse, finding herself emotionally invested and conflicted by her own conscience. Will she confess the truth about her marital status and her feelings for Mark… and will the truth set them free?

Check out the trailer and see if it is something you would be interested in watching…I really think you will be!

What do you think? Will you be watching this movie? I hope so! I would love to talk about it with you! Leave me a comment and tell me what you think!
