Pampers Little Miracle Mission $50 GC GIVEAWAY!!

Pampers is celebrating their 50th birthday and one of the things that they have realized and are recognizing is that parenting has changed tremendously over the years. They also share the belief that every little baby is a miracle and deserves to be celebrated by all! So to do this, they are unveiling their Little Miracles Mission campaign! The mission of this program is to deliver various acts of kindness to little miracles and their families, all while encouraging parents to support others!

The first act of kindness was kicked off by donating care packages to Neonatal Intensive Care Units all over the country. Pampers asked celebs Joey Lawrence, Ali Larter, Mark Consuelos and Lala Anthony to visit Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City to deliver a care package and thank you basket to the hospital and staff! You can help to! Just visit Pampers Facebook page and hit “like”. Then click on the Miracle Misson tab and commit to Mission 2 by clicking on “I want to Pledge”. Once more than 4,000 people pledge, Pampers will throw special Father’s Day cook-outs for dads and babies all over the country!! So pledge today!

Thanks to Pampers, I was given a $50 American Express gift card where I was to come up with the best way to spend that money on a little miracle in my community. Without a doubt, I knew exactly which little miracle I wanted to bless with a random act of kindness. A friend of mine is expecting her third child in July. One of the things I remembered her mentioning was the fact that she has always wanted to make her own baby food. Not only does making your own baby food insure that your child is getting food free of unnecessary fillers, flavorings, etc…but it also saves a TON of money. And in this day and age, saving money whenever you can is a HUGE plus.

So I got to thinking…what if I got her the tools necessary to make her own baby food?!? Being the third child, she still had lots of things left over from her other two children. She’s also been pretty good about stocking up on diapers so when the baby does come, the added expense of diapers isn’t such a shocker. I started looking around at different baby food making machines and they were EXPENSIVE (though I have to say, the machine that steams and purees your food all in one is pretty cool!). But then it hit me. A food processor is all she really needs. She doesn’t need something specifically designed to make baby food when, in reality, all it is is a food processor. Below is a picture of what I got her:

The Ninja will allow her to puree all the baby food she needs. Once pureed it goes directly into the ice cube trays and placed in the freezer. The nice thing about putting the pureed mixture into ice cube trays is the fact that a cube of food is about the serving size for a baby. As they get older, you just add more cubes. The plastic baggies are meant to hold the baby frozen baby food until you need it!

I couldn’t get her a machine like that without getting a little something for mommy too! So while finishing up my shopping I found a bottle of Margarita mix and added it to her present. Mama will DEFINITELY need a drink or two with 3 little ones! What do you think? I think she liked it!
