Last week I took my daughter to her Kindergarten Round-Up.  Within the first 10 minutes of being there, the principal informed us that there is a chance that Kindergarten next year will be full day!  Can you hear me screaming yet?!?

I am beside myself excited at the chance of full day Kindergarten!  The possibility of having 5 FULL days a week to myself is AWESOME!   Not only will I be able to work out EVERY single day, but my house will be clean and organized!

I realize that I could be getting my hopes way up, but that’s OK.  I mean, heading into Kindergarten Round-Up I was OK with the idea of having 5 half days a week to myself…but being told theres a chance of full day…I’m already planning everything out!

8:30am:  Drop both kids off at school
9:00am:  Work out
10:30am:  Clean
1:00pm:  Eat lunch and watch Days of Our Lives
2:00pm:  Shower
3:45pm:  Pick the kids up from school

Doesn’t that seem like the PERFECT way to spend my days?  Of course I won’t need to clean EVERY day so on the days that I don’t need to clean, then I can go grocery shopping, work in the kids classrooms, read…etc.

Soooo excited if this becomes a reality! Not only is it good for the kids, but it’s great for moms too. Especially two working family homes. Think of the money families can save by not having to pay for after school care! Not to mention, kids like my daughter that are very excited to go to school, having fully day Kindergarten is something that they will benefit from. They are ready for full day. I’m sure it will be an adjustment in the beginning for some, but overall, everyone should get used to it quickly!
