The Goddess Loses 2009 Starting Weight and Plan

Alrighty then. I can’t believe I am doing this. Putting my weight out there for all to see in black and white…but I want to lose this weight and well…whats a number, right? So here it goes. My starting weight is an embarrassing 222.0 lbs. Blech. I weighed that much when I delivered my son. 4 years ago. But no more.

The “diet” plan that I will be using is one that I had written for me by a dietitian that I saw after I had my daughter. During my pregnancy with her, I failed the 3 hour glucose test and had to go on a special diabetic diet in order to keep my sugar level down. Since my sugar level is high again and I did lose while on that diet, I’m going to do that diet.

Here is an outline of the diet:

Breakfast: 15-30 carbs AND 2-3oz. protein

mid-morning snack: 15-30 carbs AND 2-3oz protein

Lunch: 30-45 carbs AND 2-4oz protein

Mid-day snack: 15-30 carbs AND 2-3oz protein

Dinner: 30-45 carbs AND 2-4oz protein

The key to success with this diet is to make sure that the carbs I am eating are complex carbs. Simple carbs are not filling whatsoever.

My goal for this week is to make sure I get all my water in. Drinking enough water is not a strong suit of mine. Santa Claus put a water bottle in my stocking that has a counter on it so I can easily keep track of how much water I have drank!

Good luck to everyone that chooses to join me!!!

Good luck with your wt loss plan. A water bottle with a counter on it sounds pretty cool.
