Obsession I Tell Ya

Obsession with vampires that is. I can’t help it. I’ve always been intrigued with vampires. But why in the world can’t the different vampire shows get their stories straight. I mean seriously. Here are the major differences that bug me.

True Blood:

  • Vampires cannot be outside in the sunlight or they fry…literally
  • They sleep underground or in coffins to make sure they are not in the sun
  • The vampires can hover and fly

Twilight:

  • Vampires cannot be outside in the Sunlight or they sparkle.
  • They don’t sleep at all
  • As far as I remember, they don’t fly…just jump super high and run super fast

Vampire Diaries:

  • Vampires can walk around in sunlight and nothing happens.
  • They sleep in beds
  • I am not far enough into the series to know if they fly, but they can jump to the top of a building.

If they want to make these shows “realistic” shouldn’t they get their stories straight and either the vampires fry in the sun or they don’t. I prefer that they don’t fry…but then again I kind of like the sparkle skin 😉

I've always been obsessed with vampire books, too. And every series seems to have a different idea of what their abilities/liabilities are. Hard to keep it all straight!

LOL. The differences drive me nuts too as I have never read a vampire book so I thought everything in Twilight was true about vampires (it was the first book/movie I experienced with vampires) but my husband quickly told me I was wrong. He thinks Vampire Diaries is more "realistic".
